Blue Jays acquire Refsnyder from Yankees for minor league prospect McBroom

The Blue Jays acquired Yankees' infielder/outfielder Rob Refsnyder for first base prospect Ryan McBroom, the teams announced Sunday.

As for McBroom, he is an up-and-coming first baseman since being drafted by Toronto in the 15th round back in 2014. Since that time, McBroom has shown huge power potential, having hit 57 homers and driven in 288 runs while slashing.280/.343/.459 in three-plus minor league seasons.

'India should not leave things to luck,' China says on Doklam
When referred to China's demand that status quo be restored in Dokalam, he had said India has also been asking for it. The ministry reportedly warned that India should not harbour illusions about defeating the Chinese military.

The 2012 fifth-round pick had yo-yo'd between Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and The Bronx the last couple years, never sticking in the majors with positional concerns - the 26-year-old had played second base, first base and the outfield for the Yankees.

This season, he's gone up and down from NY to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre twice, accumulating a.312 average during his 38 games in the minors this year. This year, the 25-year-old right-handed hitter had batted.243 with 19 doubles, 12 homers and 54 RBI in 96 games in his first full season at Double-A New Hampshire. Refsnyder was designated for assignment by the Yankees earlier in the week and is expected to report to Triple-A Buffalo, while McBroom could find a landing place on the Blue Jays' Double-A roster in Trenton.
