The six MP who have been suspended are Gaurav Gogoi, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Ranjit Ranjan, Sushmita Dev, MK Raghav and K Suresh.

Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said suspending Congress leaders and others would not result in the issue being brushed under the carpet, but would rather make the Opposition more aggressive.
