No Arsenal deal with Alexis Sanchez, says Arsene Wenger

Wenger revealed that Sanchez has left him convinced he will not leave the Emirates this summer, despite refusing to sign a new contract with the Gunners.

The 28-year-old has been a source of transfer rumors throughout the summer with Chelsea, Man City and Bayern Munich all linked with his signature.

Arsene Wenger is confident that Alexis Sanchez will remain at Arsenal this summer, despite major question marks over his future.

He said, when asked if he thinks Sanchez will stay: "Of course. There's not a lot to resolve at the moment with the player".

Sanchez has not travelled with the Arsenal squad on their pre-season tour of Sydney and is now away on holiday having competed in the Confederations Cup with Chile earlier in the summer.

He revealed: "I have spoken through text and it was very positive".

The Crimson Tide also had the most first-team All-SEC selections with 10, a record for the Media Days poll. The East appears to have another good race brewing, a two-team affair between rivals Georgia and Florida.

The Gunners boss says he has recently been in contact with Sanchez, who has not yet returned to pre-season training due to his worldwide commitments this summer, and he believes he will remain at the club.

"You can't tell them they are not having a holiday and must come back and continue, it's impossible".

One player whose future is less clear is Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.

Wilshere will be welcomed back into the fold provided he is ready to fight for his place in the starting XI.

Equally, Wenger believes that midfielder Jack Wilshere will stay at Arsenal after the England global spent last season on loan at Bournemouth.

"You can not tell them that they are not having a holiday and must come back and continue, it's impossible", Wenger added.
