Pennsylvania men confesses to murders, attorney says

"Sean Kratz has been charged with the murders of Mr. Finocchiaro, Mr. Meo and Mr. Sturgis", Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub said.

On Wednesday, police arrested a young man whose parents own the farm on a charge he tried to sell a vehicle belonging to one of the missing men.

DiNardo was charged with four counts of criminal homicide, 11 counts of conspiracy, three counts of robbery, four counts of abusing of a corpse, possession of a weapon and possession of an instrument of crime with intent.

DiNardo has been charged with the murder of Finocchiaro, 19-year-old Jimi Patrick, 21-year-old Tom Meo and 22-year-old Mark Sturgis. Lang also said DiNardo is remorseful over the crime. "They have done nothing to deserve this disgusting, unspeakable tragedy that has been beset upon them".

DiNardo eventually confessed to the murders, and on Thursday night, police took another person of interest into custody. They wrapped Finocchiaro in a tarp and tried to drag him out; tarp got stuck on a nail; they removed him with a backhoe and threw him in what they call the "pig roaster".

Dinardo has been in custody since Wednesday afternoon after he was accused of stealing and attempting to sell Meo's auto. DiNardo sold quarter-pound quantities of marijuana for several thousand dollars and sold handguns to area residents, the person said. He was a friend of Thomas Meo, with whom he worked in construction, the Associated Press reported. Kratz told interviewers DiNardo "basically crushes him" with the backhoe (referring to Meo).

Dinardo allegedly used a backhoe to dig a 6-foot-deep hole and bury him, the affidavit states. He killed them separately, burned their bodies, and buried the remains on his family's 90-acre farm in Solebury Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. He also said there were remains from multiple individuals discovered.

DiNardo's lawyer said his client is remorseful and led investigators to the men's remains.

The suspect's troubled past included a history of mental illness and his expulsion from college after a single semester. Friday news conference to make his first public comments since word of DiNardo's shocking admissions became public.

"Every death was related to a purported drug transaction, and at the end of each one there's a killing", the person said.

The men are believed to have been killed by Cosmo DiNardo, a schizophrenic from Pennsylvania, in relation to drug deals. A witness said DiNardo offered to sell him the auto on Saturday.

Not far from the spot, the body of another man, killed earlier that day, was in a metal container, according to court documents. Patrick's body was found in a separate grave late Thursday. DiNardo's bail was set at $5 million in cash, the highest that Bucks County Magisterial District Judge Maggie Snow has ever set, she said. He also suffered a head injury after an ATV accident about a year ago. "Nobody should have to go through this".

The details were provided after one of DiNardo's lawyers said Thursday that DiNardo had confessed to killing the missing men and told investigators where their bodies were located.

Lang told ABC News that DiNardo felt "deep remorse" and was "very emotional".

"I'm sorry", a shackled DiNardo said as he left the courthouse.

DiNardo's attorney said his confession was exchanged for the prosecutor to take the death penalty off the table.
