Subaru WRX and STI upgraded

Furthermore, Premium versions of the manual and CVT WRX rise by $500 and $1700 to $45,640 and $48,840 respectively.

Premium editions of the WRX also get an 8-way power seat with dual memory and electric lumbar support for the driver's seat - and heated driver and front passenger seats, while the STi adds a host of new sports features.

Subaru has filled out the range with a new flagship, the WRX STI spec.R, which is trimmed as for the WRX STI Premium, including the new front camera, but with the addition of Recaro bucket seats in front.

The Japanese carmaker has lifted specification levels range-wide to compensate for the changes in cost, also updating exterior styling and improving mechanics.

The entry-level WRX model upgrades to dusk-sensing headlights and rain-sensing windscreen wipers, features previously reserved for the WRX Premium.

Every WRX and WRX STI variant now includes adaptive LED headlights, LED daytime running lights (DRLs), a 5.9-inch multi-function display and roof carrier brackets.

The only real difference with the spec.R, however, is that it has specially designed Recaro seats in the front, with the driver's being eight-way adjustable.

PC, Nintendo Switch Versions May Be Considered, But Nothing Official Just Yet
Xbox Live Arcade hit Sine Mora wowed us with its frantic pyrotechnics so much it was ported to PS3 and PlayStation Vita . If you like gorgeous looking side-scrolling shooters, you should definitely keep Sine Mora EX on your radar.

For the "2018" model WRX Subaru has specified fade-resistant Jurid high-performance brake pads, red-painted brake calipers (front only for auto models), redesigned 18-inch alloy wheels, heated door mirrors, LED for front fog lights and retuned suspension.

The auto itself also gets extra vision with Subaru's "EyeSight", which improves collision prevention and cruise control.

Performance-wise, the STI adds yellow Brembo 6-pot front and 2-pot rear brake callipers, cross-drilled brake rotors, 19-inch alloy wheels, new front bumper and grille, red seatbelts and a tweaked suspension which upgrades the suspension coils and shock absorbers stability and minimal body roll when cornering.

The iconic rear wing spoiler can be added to the WRX STI as a $300 option. It also features a redesigned aero package compared to last year's TT vehicle setup, helping deliver improved handling and top speed on the track.

Power comes from the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 197kW and 350Nm in WRX guise and is matched to either a six-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.

Subaru designers have opted for a finish (like piano-gloss black lacquer) throughout the interior of the WRX STI.
