Chinese paper says China should stay neutral if North Korea attacks first

Faced with perhaps his gravest worldwide crisis yet, President Donald Trump this week responded precisely as his some of supporters hoped and his critics long feared.

Tension in the region has risen since North Korea carried out two nuclear bomb tests previous year and two intercontinental ballistic missile tests in July.

Now Trump has reaffirmed his statement - and added that maybe it "wasn't tough enough". The talks have expanded to address the deterioration of the relationship.

The president addressed Russia's expulsion of US diplomats from Moscow, the FBI's raid on former campaign director Paul Manafort's home, Special Counsel Robert Mueller, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Attorney General Jeff Sessions and more. They weren't authorized to discuss the confidential exchanges and spoke on condition of anonymity.

President Trump on Tuesday issued a stern warning to North Korea, saying that if its threats to the United States continue, the outcast nation will be "met with fire and fury like the world has never seen". Such declarations, however, don't indicate a new, more aggressive posture.

Asked if the United States was ready if North Korea made a hostile act, he said, "We are ready". He also brushed away calls for caution from world leaders, including Germany's Angela Merkel.

"I don't see a military solution and I don't think it's called for", Merkel said Friday, declining to say whether Germany would stand with the U.S.in a military conflict with North Korea. "China can. And I think China will do a lot more", he said.

"They've been doing this to our country for a long time, for many years, and it's about time that somebody stuck up for the people of this country and for the people of other countries", he said. "Perhaps she is referring to Germany".

First, understand that North Korea is a pawn in a geostrategic chess game being played by China and Russian Federation against the United States. "Nobody loves a peaceful solution better than President Trump".

Jenna Gaminde, spokeswomen of the Guam Homeland Security, was quoted by local newspaper Pacific Daily News as saying that residents would be immediately notified by sirens of the 15 All-Hazards Alert Warning System, located in low-lying areas throughout the island. "We are with you a thousand percent".

Trump tells Guam governor: 'We are with you 1000 percent'
However, Guam's security agency has issued a fact sheet with advice on what residents should do in the event of a nuclear attack. He told Calvo: "You notice that he hasn't spoken recently?" "We are with you 1,000 per cent, you are safe", he adds.

President Donald Trump issued a new threat to North Korea on Friday, saying the US military was "locked and loaded" as Pyongyang accused him of driving the Korean Peninsula to the brink of nuclear war.

"His view and the view of the administration is that the way to resolve the situation with North Korea.is through these economic sanctions". North Korea shot back on Friday by suggesting the new president spends too much time playing golf.

Faced with perhaps his biggest global crisis as president, Trump has responded with an abundance of swagger and a lot of words. And no one outside North Korea knows whether Kim has a viable reentry vehicle that could deliver a warhead to a target.

He says a detailed announcement is planned soon. The other 40% is simply that the USA will have to tolerate and live with North Korea's nuclear threat forever.

Snyder said North Korea's current, announced threats and its earlier suggestions of possibly targeting Guam is unusual and a departure from the nation's penchant for secrecy.

"As a veteran of the Korean War, I am ashamed that our Commander-in-Chief is conducting himself in a reckless manner that endangers our troops stationed in Korea and our regional allies", explains the Michigan Democrat.

"It is the job of Secretary Mattis to talk about military options".

North Korea's army will complete the plans in mid-August to fire four intermediate-range missiles over Japan to land near Guam, when they will be ready for Kim's order, state-run KCNA news agency said.

Why should allies remain our allies if the U.S.is a helpless giant?
