Warner Bros. Television will produce in association with Nickelby Inc. and Compari.

As WBTV plans this television outing, Warner Bros. Pictures is still developing a feature-film version of the property, having recently brought Sausage Party director Conrad Vernon (Monsters vs. Aliens, Shrek 2) on to develop the project with an eye to direct.

George Jetson and his family previously hit the big screen in a 1990 animated film, titled Jetsons: The Movie.

Several outlets are reporting that the ABC network has ordered a live-action adaptation of "The Jetsons", joining other decades-old shows getting the reboot treatment, including "The Munsters" and "Miami Vice".

Cuomo Calls For Confederates To Be Removed From New York City
A spokeswoman for the Army said on Wednesday afternoon that they received the letter and were in the process of responding. New York, a Northern stronghold of Unionists and abolitionists, has few Confederate memorials.

The sci-fi cartoon originally debuted on ABC in 1962, was revived in 1984, and also aired in syndication. The new Jetsons is "described as based on the original animated series" and "set 100 years in the future". Writer Gary Janetti (Family Guy, Willand Grace) will write and executive produce the series.

Janetti executive produces with Zemeckis and Jack Rapke, with Jackie Levine serving as co-executive producer.

Can the show really be set a century in the future while being told through a modern filter? Spanning 24 episodes, the show followed George, Jane, Judy, Elroy, their robot maid Rosie and the family dog Astro.
