Keith Ellison: 'Irresponsible' Trump could bring about first strike by North Korea

"Well, he's acting more responsible than this guy", Congressman Keith Ellison said alluding to Trump during a gathering of online activists in Georgia.

Jeremy Corbyn has urged for calm between the U.S. and North Korea amid the nuclear bomb attack stand-off and has called on the two nations to take part in fresh talks.

"You have this guy making bellicose threats against somebody else who has very little to lose over there", said Ellison (D-Minn.).

Will Kim follow the lead of past cult leader Jim Jones, commit mass suicide, and take much of the world with him?

S&P closes barely lower despite N. Korea tensions
Labor Department is likely to report that initial jobless claims remained unchanged at 240,000 for the week ended August 5. The S&P hasn't moved more than 0.5 percent in one day since July and has fallen more than 1 percent only twice this year.

"Trump and Kim must immediately wind down the war of rhetoric, as the German Chancellor Angela Merkel has demanded", he said.

Engel suggested using "behind-the-scenes, quiet" diplomacy in order to solve the crisis with North Korea. "And I think it's something that has been tested in recent-enough memory that Kim Jong Un realizes that we have a capacity". I'd say he's being incredibly irresponsible and he's putting us in a situation where you could have an accidental launch. "What we need is someone bringing calm to the situation, not spiking it".

Workers also carried red banners emblazoned with slogans praising their leaders and the country's strength as President Trump continued to tout military action "if Kim Jong-un utters one overt threat against the US". Democrats appear to be playing a unsafe game of using the threat of nuclear war as a way to tear down Trump. Michael Ahrens, the RNC's rapid-response director, sent the video of Ellison's comment to reporters, calling it "insane" and and challenging Democrats to respond.
