Parents Sue School After Bullied Daughter, 12, Kills Self

Grossman was a cheerleader and gymnast who often donated her own money to her favorite charity, Camp Good Days, which provides summer camp experiences for children with cancer and those who lost someone because of the disease. She begged to stay home from school.

- A family mourning the loss of their child is now suing the New Jersey school district for not doing enough. "The messages were vile and malicious, and we will be disclosing those as the months proceed", attorney Bruce Nagel said. "We want to end this forever", Nagel says.

Parents of middle schooler who committed suicide in June announce their intention to sue Rockaway Township school district. The Grossman family is "contemplating" taking action against these parents for allowing the bullying to persist for months, Negal told WPIX. "And finally, she was even told, 'Why don't you kill yourself?'" said Nagel, who also noted that a cellphone could be "a lethal weapon" in the wrong hands.

The parents of a 12-year-old girl who died of an apparent suicide have filed a lawsuit against a New Jersey school district the say did nothing to halt alleged cyber bullying they believe led to her death. "They should have taken steps to bring in the children, bring in the parents and get this stopped".

As soon as Grossman alerted her parents to the bullying, her mother said the school was contacted, and the principal eventually informed.

When Mallory's grades took a hit, school officials focused meetings on her academics. She said her daughter started getting bullied in October 2016.

"There was a pattern, a regular history pattern of the school district dismissing my concerns."

Scotiabank Reiterates Sector Perform Rating for Barrick Gold Corp (TSE:ABX)
The basic materials company reported $0.22 EPS for the quarter, topping the Thomson Reuters' consensus estimate of $0.17 by $0.05. To measure price-variation, we found ABX's volatility during a week at 3.32% and during a month it has been found around 2.52%.

Some of the cyberbullying against Mallory - at least two of the girls' Snapchats - took place on school property, Grossman said.

"I'm going to make the assumption that the school did something, but I'm also going to make the assumption that, based on where we are today, they didn't do enough", Dianne Grossman said. "I think that's what we have to remember - that Mallory, here, is the victim".

The Grossman family was fairly new to the school district - they moved to town about three years ago.

"She was liked among her peers, she was active - that still doesn't quiet the noise of girls who didn't like her", said Dianne Grossman, Mallory's mother.

Such snide remarks, dirty looks and intimidating messages can be extra hurtful during middle school, a complicated time when adolescents' bodies and hormones are changing, and when social status at school means everything, Grossman said.

She did not only complain at the school but also to the parents of the other children, who were quick to dismiss her concerns.
