Sammy Watkins, Buffalo Bills wide receiver, traded to Los Angeles Rams

This move comes on the heels of Buffalo trading Sammy Watkins to the Los Angeles Rams for cornerback E.J. Gaines and a second-round pick next year.

The Bills also received a second and a third round pick in the upcoming 2018 draft.

Darby was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for wide receiver Jordan Matthews and the team's 2018 third round pick.

Matthews, 25, totaled 225 catches for 2,673 yards and 19 touchdowns in three seasons with the Eagles.

So they made a decision to move on from Watkins a year early and get a second-round draft pick.

Liverpool FC reject Coutinho's request to leave
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has named Manchester City as title favourites ahead of English Premier League . "I'm happy. Liverpool sold Luis Suarez to Barcelona in 2014 after the Uruguay striker pushed for a move away from Anfield .

Watkins, 24, is a great offensive weapon when healthy. Now L.A. has their No. 1 and 2 receivers from last season, granted Watkins only played eight games a year ago as he dealt with injuries. The Bills declined to pick up his fifth-year option earlier this offseason, fueling speculation that he might be moved by the team's new management.

Watkins and Matthews will both become unrestricted free agents in March.

"We want to thank E.J. for all he has contributed to our organization since we drafted him in 2014", added Snead.

The Bills found some stability when they added veteran receiver Anquan Boldin to the mix, and they probably feel Watkins is not worth the gamble if they can have Matthews and Boldin in the offense.

Watkins has played in 21 games the past two seasons after playing all 16 as a rookie in 2014. They have Kansas City's first-round pick next spring in addition to their own. Last season he had 28 receptions for 430 yards and two scores in eight games for the Bills. Darby, who finished second in defensive rookie of the year voting in 2015, had started 29 games over the past two seasons.
