'Juggalos,' Trump supporters both set for National Mall rallies

The style was outrageous, but the goal was serious: Juggalos, as the band's hardcore fans are known, said the gang label is unfair and has cost them jobs, gotten them suspended from school, barred from the military and entered into gang databases.

While some voiced support for the group, citing their right to freedom of speech, others poked fun at the group's appearance in good humor. Another one for Trump supporters, called the Mother of All Rallies, was scheduled.

I am in full support of @icp and the #juggalomarch The FBI should remove the gang tag immediately.

But Saturday, something a little bit different is coming to town - the Juggalo March.

Last year, a judge dismissed their case against the Justice Department but several members, along with the American Civil Liberties Union in MI, are appealing to the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati.

Showing solidarity with my juggalo and juggalette family marching in the #JuggaloMarch today.

Washington, D.C., is no stranger to First Amendment demonstrations.

Nearby, on the National Mall, about 500 Trump supporters assembled for a separate all-day demonstration and concert, though organizers predicted that number would grow as the day progressed.

Saturday was a busy day in the nation's capital.

The move followed a string of crimes from arson to homicide that were committed by people who were identified as Juggalos over the previous five or six years.

Dead After Evacuation of Hollywood Nursing Home Left Without Power After Irma
Broward County Mayor Barbara Sharief said three were found dead at the nursing home in the city of Hollywood. A spokesperson for the Memorial Hospital system said the nursing home is not part of the hospital chain.

But local police will have a heightened challengethis weekend as a trio of rallies will place groups with clashing political views in close proximity on the National Mall.

The band, with help from the American Civil Liberties Union, sued the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 2014 seeking to have the classification scratched.

More than 1,000 fans of the band Insane Clown Posse are rallying to protest the FBI's classification of them as a gang.

"Branding hundreds of thousands of music fans as gang members based on the acts of a few individuals defies logic and violates our most cherished of constitutional rights", Michael Steinberg, the ACLU of Michigan's legal director, said when the suit was filed in 2014.

"We don't look (for) acceptance from them".

Protesters march from the White House to the Russian ambassador's residence in Washington, Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, during a rally encouraging President Donald Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan to defend American democracy from Russian interference.

Juggalos, named after one of the band's songs called "The Juggla", claim the FBI's label has led to discrimination and harassment.

"Juggalos are a "family" of people who love and help one another, enjoy one another's company, and bond over the music and a philosophy of life", the lawsuit said.

March organizers also planned face painting activities and sold merchandise printed with the Insane Clown Posse logo of a man running and carrying a hatchet.

I'm talking about two guys, actually, Violent J (Joseph Bruce) and Shaggy 2 Dope (Joseph Utsler), the duo that is the band Insane Clown Posse.
