Android Video Calling Just Got Much Simpler

In Contacts, you will notice a Duo video call icon has also appeared, while in Android Messages app, you can start a call straight from your chat.

Google officially unveiled the new Pixel 2 series smartphones last week. The new video call feature will be now visible to users running Android 7.0 Nougat and above - Google notes the integration is only applicable for those manufacturers that have made video calling available to users. "Later this year, we'll also add the ability to upgrade an ongoing voice call to video with just a tap", announced Google in a blog post. In Contacts, next to your contact's name, the option to make a Duo video call will surface. Video calls will now be directly accessible from Phone, Contacts, and Android Messages apps. Charlston's comments would indicate so, but knowing Google's history of shipping devices, it's not a certainty; perhaps call ahead if you're thinking about making a trip.

Nokia 9 with curved glass display and dual rear cameras leaks
The Nokia 8 features an auxiliary audio port, so we don't see a reason why the company chose to ditch it in the Nokia 9. It will be available in two storage options - 64 GB and 128 GB - and will likely run Android Oreo out of the box.

It may be noted that you and the recipient need to have Google Duo installed on one of the supported handsets (Pixel, Android One, and Nexus devices) to access video-calling directly from the phone.
