Introducing the brand new waterproof Kindle Oasis

The Kindle Oasis is available for pre-order online now at JB Hi-Fi and Officeworks for $389AUD and the 32GB device for AUD$529. The Kindle Oasis will cost you $249.99 for 8 GB of storage and a 7-inch screen, making it three times more expensive than the $79.99 base-model Kindle.

The second generation Kindle Oasis also acknowledges consumer love for physical books in its design, which Amazon says has been ergonomically developed to feel like the spine of a book when resting in the hand. For waterproofing, the Kindle Oasis is IPX8 rated, which means it should withstand immersion in over 1-metre of water.

Amazon has four Kindle devices in their e-book lineup: the original Kindle, the Kindle Paperwhite, Kindle Voyage and the Oasis. The new Kindle Oasis is priced at Rs. 21,999 for the 8GB model and Rs. 28,999 for the 32GB model. Now, the all-new Amazon Kindle has come with waterproofing feature which has always been a requirement for Kindle e-readers. The all-new Kindle Oasis comes with 8GB storage, which has twice the storage as the first Kindle Oasis and can hold thousands of titles.
