Mahindra unveils KUV100 NXT

The company however is pitting higher variants of the KUV100 NXT compact SUV against the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the recently launched Tata Nexon.

Mahindra and Mahindra unveiled the KUV100 NXT days before Diwali starting at Rs 4.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The KUV100 gets remote lock/unlock for the tailgate, power folding wing mirrors, rear parking sensors, a new multi-info display giving readouts for gearshift alert, drive modes and fuel economy. Mahindra seems to have added an element of newness to it with features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Design-wise, the profile of the vehicle is same as before but compared to the older KUV100, the KUV100 NXT comes with fatter and more prominent plastic cladding along the wheel arches, side body and underbody to further emphasise its SUV character.

Similar to the exterior of the auto, the cabin also comes with a fresh appearance.

The cabin now comes with a new sporty all-black interior instead of the grey one which was offered earlier and carbon fibre finish on top part of the dashboard.

The petrol 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 engine is tuned to churn out 82bhp and 114Nm, while the 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 diesel engine can develop 77bhp and a peak torque of 190Nm. Both the engines are partnered to a five-speed manual transmission.
