Marvel Will Release Official MCU Timeline To Solve Continuity Issues

Marvel Will Release Official MCU Timeline To Solve Continuity Issues

Captain Marvel is slated to hit theaters March 8, 2019. It's out March 2019, two months before the now untitled fourth Avengers movie is due that May.

The problem did not come with just a single scene, but the overall timeline of the story.

In comments to Cinema Blend, Feige explained that at some point Marvel plans to release a timeline to clear everything up.

Minor spoilers for Spider-Man: Homecoming, which will soon be released on Blu-ray and DVD, follow.

Feige continues, "And where we go beyond that?" But this wreaks havoc in the ages of the characters, especially Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who was 15 as of "Captain America: Civil War" which was released in 2016.

Chatting with Fandango, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige confirmed the possibility of just that.

Ireland to play Pakistan in first test next year
Ireland played their first one-day worldwide against England in 2006 and qualified for the World Cup the following year, where they beat Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Kevin Feige: All of that debate has encouraged us.

"[Homecoming] wasn't meant to flummox anybody exactly, and I'm not sure I'd do it again the same way, but it does all connect to where we placed it", Feige said.

"We are going to be publishing an official... timeline". Feige adds, "It's a pretty awesome moment to be somewhere and have your shoulder get tapped and you turn around and every female hero we have is standing there going, 'How about it?' And I said, 'Yes'".

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War - the next Avengers film - stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland and Anthony Mackie.

In the ten years that Marvel Studios kick-started their interconnected franchise, they have close to 20 films under its banner apart from few others waiting in the queue. "But suffice to say, only in limited cases do we ever actually say what the actual years are because we never want to be tied down to a particular year and I think people assume that whenever the movie is released is when is when the movie is taking place, and that is not the case".

Still, while the original incarnation of the MCU may change, it's not going away.
