Robbie Lawler vs. Rafael dos Anjos to headline UFC's next FOX special

The next FOX special will air on December 16th from the MTS Centre in Winnipeg.

The UFC announced today that a battle of former champions will headline the company's next FOX special as Robbie Lawler, the former welterweight champion, will face Rafael dos Anjos, the former lightweight champion.

Lawler, who is now ranked as the number one contender for the title, has a 28-11 record with one no contest.

Tickets are set to go on sale on October 20 at 10 a.m.

Lawler, who now owns a lifetime professional mixed martial arts record of 28-11 (9-2 UFC), will be heading into his second bout since losing the welterweight title to Tyron Woodley in July 2016.

A meeting of ex-champs is now the headliner for UFC on FOX 26.

The UFC has yet to announce the card's bout order for the December 16 event.

Canada will be well represented on the card, with Ultimate Fighter Nations victor Chad Laprise taking on Galore Bofando in a welterweight bout. More fights are expected to be added.
