Payne's lawyer, Greg Skordas, has pointed to the officer's decorated 27-year history and questioned whether his behavior warranted termination.

The video showed her explaining that hospital policy required a warrant or formal consent to draw blood from the patient who had been injured in a auto crash.

Attorney Greg Skordas, who represents Payne, said his client plans to appeal a firing he considers unfair and over the top.

The letter said Wubbels told investigators that Tracy minimized her concerns, intimidated and lectured her, and made her feel like she was to blame for the events. The police department is making changes after Payne dragged a screaming Wubbels out of the hospital in handcuffs when she refused to allow blood to be drawn from the unconscious patient.

A Salt Lake City police detective was sacked and his supervisor demoted Tuesday for their roles in the violent arrest of a nurse who was manhandled and shoved screaming into a squad auto as she tried to protect the legal rights of an unconscious patient. His lawyer, Ed Brass, couldn't immediately be reached.

He says Payne would agree to be disciplined, but the decision to terminate him went beyond what's fair.

"I think I was able to keep my cool pretty well, because I knew I was in a tough situation", she said, noting that she continued to refer to the officer as "sir" even as he dragged her out of the hospital.

'Your lack of judgment and leadership in this matter is unacceptable, and as a result, I no longer believe that you can retain a leadership position in the department, ' Brown said.

"The trust problem has not been resolved by these actions", Porter said Tuesday evening.

Prosecutors, then, opened a criminal examination concerning the capture and requested that the Federal Bureau of Investigation decide whether there were any social liberties infringement.

In addition to his job as a police officer, Payne was also fired from a separate job as a part-time paramedic.

Payne had beforehand been taught in 2013 after inside issues examiners affirmed that he sexually hassled a female collaborator in a "constant and extreme" way.

Tracy, in the mean time, earned tributes for medication and robbery examinations.
