Your Amazon Alexa device can finally tell different voices apart

Amazon's Alexa is learning voice recognition, with the Echo smart speakers set to spot who is talking and offer up personalized replies. Today, Amazon announced that Alexa can now do the same thing. And, if she doesn't recognize who's speaking, she'll just revert to the default Alexa experience.

An updated to the Alexa app for iOS, Android and Fire OS, introduces individual voice recognition. First you'll need to set up an Alexa voice profile, which involves training through the Alexa app. Once created, personalized results can be delivered through any Alexa-enabled device, including third-party ones that use the Alexa Voice Service. You'll go to your account settings and tap Your Voice, then tap on your profile name.
