3 dead, 2 wounded in California school shooting

An employee with the Corning Unified School District said there were reports of an active shooter at the school, and there were confirmed injuries.

At least three people are dead after a shooting at Rancho Tehama Tuesday morning.

Sheriff's Investigators confirm that there are at least three deaths, including the suspected shooter. There are over 100 law enforcement officers at the school with up to five crime scenes.

A 6-year-old and another child are among the injured.

The six-year-old child reportedly had two gunshot wounds and another child was reportedly shot in the leg.

Baker Hughes revealed on Friday that the number of oil rigs operating in the USA rose by 9 to 738, the highest in nearly a month. Last week, Brent rose to $64.65, its highest since June 2015, and WTI hit $57.92, its highest since July 2015.

He said the kids who were at the school are in a safe location.

The incident was reported around 8:15 a.m.

There were several shots fired at Rancho Tehama Elementary School, police reported.

No one answered the phone at the elementary school, and an official speaking for Rich DuVarney, Tehama County superintendent of schools, said he was trying to find out what was happening in Rancho Tehama. Local law enforcement have blocked off the road that leads to the school.

"Our doors are locked", she said.
