Aaron Jones injured against the Bears

Green Bay Packers rookie running back Aaron Jones was carted to the locker room after suffering a leg injury Sunday against the Chicago Bears, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Jones was injured early in the Packers' game Sunday against the Bears at Soldier Field. Among the rushes were three Wildcat plays with receiver Randall Cobb taking the direct snap and rushing for minus-1, 6 and 3 yards on those plays.

Ty Montgomery rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown on six carries after Jones left, but he too left the game and did not return.

Coach Mike McCarthy confirmed Monday that Jones' knee is a "multiple-week injury". Montgomery was ruled out with a rib injury. Jones rushed for 125 yards against the Dallas Cowboys on October 8, and outdid himself two weeks later in a loss to the New Orleans Saints by gaining 131 yards on the ground via 17 carries. With Aaron Jones already removed from the game due to a knee injury, Jamaal Williams stepped in as the lead back and took 20 carries for 67 yards.

Jones has 370 yards on 70 carries this season. If he misses only three weeks, he could return on December 10 against the Cleveland Browns.

Green Bay Packers rookie running back Aaron Jones looked poised to have a breakout year.
