Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 revealed

The King is returning, stronger than ever.

The fastest, most powerful production Corvette ever - the 755-horsepower 2019 ZR1.

GM's product development vice president Mark Reuss says the ZR1 is unlike any Corvette is on another level to the 'Vettes that have preceded it. Optionally, customers can fit their new 2019 ZR1 with heated and ventilated Nappa leather seats, a carbon-fiber adorned steering wheel and Performance Data Recorder, among other things.

The Corvette ZR1's exclusive LT5 supercharged engine, which is rated at an SAE-certified 755 horsepower (563 kW) and 715 lb-ft of torque (969 Nm), is establishing a new benchmark in performance. All the while the latest Z06 is able to hold its own against the outgoing ZR1.

The C7 generation Corvette has reached its peak, and it's called the ZR1. The supercharger is 52% larger in terms of displacement than the one used for the Corvette Z06, which itself is no slouch in the performance department. It can be paired to either a seven-speed manual or an optional eight-speed automatic transmission. It's the first time an automatic transmission has been offered in a ZR1.

Never had any vehicle with a bowtie produced this much power and gone this fast.

Roger Goodell Seeking Private Jet For Life In New Contract
Goodell's current contract runs out in March of 2019 and the commish and owners are now working on a five-year contract extension. Despite no criminal conviction Goodell suspended Elliot for six games for breaking the NFL's personal conduct policy.

For example, the new ZR1 has a redesigned front end with huge air intakes to feed four new radiators, which brings the total heat exchanger count to 13, according to Chevrolet. To that end, Chevrolet added four extra radiators to bring the total number of heat exchangers on the vehicle to 13, sucking on air from huge front air intakes as well as a vented carbon fibre bonnet - the latter has a cut out for the massive supercharger and intercooler assembly.

The ZTK Performance Package will include a High Wing that is said to increase downforce by an additional 950 pounds (431 kilograms). With a top speed quoted at "over 210 mph", they're not wrong.

The ZR1 will offer two aero packages: a standard rear Low Wing, which delivers the highest top speed and helps generate up to 70 percent more downforce than the Z06's base aero package, and an available two-way-adjustable High Wing that offers maximum downforce on the track for the quickest lap times - about 60 percent more downforce than the Z06 with the available Z07 Performance Package.

Hidden underneath the chiseled front end is a new underwing that creates downforce to keep the ZR1 stuck to the road. You also get special chassis tuning, Magnetic Ride Control and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber. And two rear wing styles are available, each tied directly to the car's chassis as in the Corvette C7.R racing auto.

Also available for the new Corvette ZR1 is the Sebring Orange Design Package. Centered on its Sebring Orange Tintcoat exterior color, the package also includes orange brake calipers, orange rocker and splitter accent stripes, orange seat belts, orange interior stitching and unique, bronze aluminum interior trim.
