Giroud happy to stay at Arsenal in January

The French Football Federation have already revealed Giroud, whose strike against the Welsh took his worldwide tally to 29, will play no part in Tuesday's friendly against Germany.

Former Everton manager Ronald Koeman revealed Giroud was on the verge of a move to Goodison Park in the summer before deciding he wanted to stay in the capital, suggesting that Arsene Wenger saw the Frenchman's time at the Emirates as limited after the signing of Alexandre Lacazette.

But after scoring for France in Friday's friendly win over Wales, Giroud says he has no regrets over his decision to remain with Arsene Wenger's men and that situation won't change in the January transfer window.

"I am not questioning myself about my future", said Giroud. I don't want to stop there. If Giroud is to feature in that game he'll only need just one more worldwide goal to move level with former Marseille, Milan and Bayern Munich ace Jean-Pierre Papin.
