Jack Swagger Signs With Bellator MMA In Heavyweight Division

Jack Swagger Signs With Bellator MMA In Heavyweight Division

Jack Swagger is making the jump from the squared circle to the octagon, as the former World Heavyweight Champion announced he'll be fighting for Bellator MMA next year. I'd like to fight twice in 2018, ' confirmed Swagger to Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour today. "Maybe I got away from that for too long".

Before spending a decade with WWE, Hager was an All-American wrestler at the University of Oklahoma. The deal will see Hager make his MMA debut inside a Bellator cage. Swagger has been working on the independent scene since departing WWE earlier this year. Hager said he'll be competing in the heavyweight division.

Another pro wrestler is trying their hand at mixed martial arts. He finished seventh overall in the NCAA wrestling championships and set Oklahoma's record for most pins in a season (30). "That's really why I left".

Aaron Jones injured against the Bears
Ty Montgomery rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown on six carries after Jones left, but he too left the game and did not return. If he misses only three weeks, he could return on December 10 against the Cleveland Browns.

The 35-year-old, whose real name is Jack Hager, spent 11 years with WWE and became the World Heavyweight Champion, but requested his release from the company and was officially granted it in March.

He will try to replicate the career of guys like Brock Lesnar, who have successfully moved from professional wrestling to MMA, and hopefully not like CM Punk, who lost his only fight in 2016. "I feel like they are very excited to have me be a part of their roster, not just be a freak show coming in to take some money".
