Moto X4 with Dual Rear Camera and IP68 Rating Launched in India

Moto X4 will be unveiled at an event in New Delhi on Monday (November 13).

The Moto X4 misses out on Motorola's signature mod design but ticks most boxes, at least on paper. It is also the first smartphone to launch with Snapdragon 630 SoC in India. The Moto X4 offers two cameras at the back. Unlike the Moto Z series which offers a modular design and the flexibility to snap on accessories to enhance performance, the Moto X4 is a regular smartphone with dual cameras and water proof exterior. Moto X4 has a price around 475$, a smaller amount than the Moto Z2 Force which has a price of around 720 $.

The phone also comes with Amazon Alexa, about which we will talk later in this article. The smartphone features a circular visor that protrudes slightly and this enclosure houses the dual camera setup.

Motorola's further included IP68 protection against dust and water attacks and a pair of dual cameras at the back. The front is dominated by a 5.2-inch Full HD (1080p) display.

Now, coming to the OS, the Moto X4 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS, and the UI is quite close to stock Android. The connectivity aspects include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack. A primary sensor of 13MP and a secondary 8MP wide-angle sensor. The dual camera setup can capture the depth of field information that is called bokeh mode. It has 16 megapixels front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1.0 µm pixel size. The selfies can be shot in panorama mode as well. You get Moto Key that saves your passwords securely and will enable you to unlock your PC using your Moto X4. The Quick Screenshot feature lets you take a quick screenshot by tapping the display with three fingers. The device can also stream music wirelessly to up to four Bluetooth headphones or speakers at the same time.
