'The Talk' unveils singer and actress Eve as new host

"Eve is an accomplished and dynamic performer, musician, wife and step mother who fits in seamlessly, while also adding a new layer to the show as we continue to evolve season to season".

As Nicki Swift previously reported, The Talk's previous co-host Aisha Tyler left the show in early August 2017, in an effort to pursue other creative projects. She was a guest co-host on the chat show for the week of October 30.

Eve is a Grammy-winning artist who's known for the 2002 song "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" and her collaborations with Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Jill Scott, and Dr. Dre.

On Tuesday, CBS announced that the Grammy Award victor will join Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood as a new full-time host.

This latest move comes as investors expect figures to show United States oil production has risen. If the assumptions do hold, the USA will find itself in a very rare position.

Eve made her debut as a full-time host on today's episode of the daytime talk show alongside fellow hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood. She's also appeared in the Barbershop films and the TV show Eve.

"I'm always interested in unique and fun parts", Eve told Variety. "Casting a partner on-air, whether it's one of five, one of two, is a very hard thing because it's that thing we always talk about, chemistry", she added. "I'm just in a place in my life where I was looking for a platform to express myself", she told Variety.

"Honestly, I am the most excited...", she said during her introduction to the audience. She says, "I am a pretty open book".

"I will definitely make time for acting, if there is time". "And music, yes, I've already started recording". I started recording a few months ago. This opportunity came and it's something new, something exciting.
