Venus, Jupiter conjunction tomorrow: Set your alarms for 45 minutes before sunrise

From the western United States, when they rise, the gap between the planets will have widened slightly, to 21 arc minutes (0.35 degrees), the online portal Space reports.

For context, this is approximately half the diameter of the moon. Clear skies are needed - and forecast for much of England and Wales.

The planets should be visible for more than an hour depending on viewing conditions, though light from the sun is expected to block out Jupiter about 15 minutes before sunrise.

In the pre-dawn hours, the two brightest planets in our solar system, Venus and Jupiter, will appear to move past each other forming what looks like a bright double star.

Experts note that to observe the convergence of Venus and Jupiter and other planets will be possible only in clear and cloudless weather, and only in the morning.
