Apple to Launch Cheaper 9.7-Inch iPad in 2018

Apple to Launch Cheaper 9.7-Inch iPad in 2018

Apple, back in March, launched the 9.7-inch iPad priced at $329 (Approximately Rs 21,200), which now is the cheapest full-sized iPad available in the market.

Well, now there seems to be some rumors that Apple will be releasing an even more affordable iPad in 2018. The budget iPad will be unveiled sometime in the latter half of 2018 and will compete with offerings from some of the major players in this field such as Samsung and Lenovo.

Price of the device should be around $260, that is $70 cheaper than the current iPad.

Likely, Apple is also preparing in 2018, the new iPad Pro, which will get redesigned with a slim framework and a system of Face ID to recognize user's face, but will lose home button and fingerprint scanner.

God Of War's Release Date Has Potentially Leaked
Keep in mind that in a few days 2 major video game events will be presented: The Game Awards 2017 and PlayStation Experience. However, someone has again changed the release date of God of War to December 31, 2018, on the PlayStation Store.

The step is being taken to revive the sales of the flagship tablet which have been falling since the year 2014. As per IDC's Q3 2017 report, Apple continued its dominance thanks to the cheaper $329 iPad that was launched earlier this year. A cheaper iPad will surely make the aspirational iPad more accessible to the masses.

Check it the source for yourself, but if I were a betting man, I'd say we might be getting a $259 iPad next year. But one will have to wait and see if a cheaper iPad will bring anything new to the table. Today, a new report by Digitimes has surfaced stating, Apple might announce a 9.7-inch iPad at $259 (Approximately Rs 16,700) in 2018.

Additionally, apart from the regular consumers, the upcoming iPad will also look to attract industrial and service sectors, last week's report adds.
