Audio of Corey Feldman Interview From 1993 Resurfaces in Santa Barbara

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office reportedly obtained audiotapes from 1993 on which Feldman names the individuals who allegedly abused him, building what seemed to be a strong case for Feldman.

The Sheriff's Office initially denied Feldman's claims but have now confirmed they have located the audio of what Feldman was referring to.

The sheriff's spokeswoman, Kelly Hoover, issued a statement to USA TODAY Wednesday confirming the sheriff's office had just found an audio recording of a 1993 interview of Feldman by detectives and has turned it over to the Los Angeles Police Department. "A copy of Mr. Feldman's interview was located", Hoover said.

The sheriff's office now says they did find audio recordings of Feldman's interview, though they did not reveal further details, adding that they are unable to comment further because the case involves the alleged sexual abuse of a child.

More recently, the sheriff's office said they didn't have any record of Feldman naming a suspect in his allegation that he was sexually assaulted. He has claimed on multiple occasions that he knows the identities of multiple predators in the industry and threatened to reveal all their names. Feldman has publicly named three of his abusers, and has repeatedly said that in 1993, he provided the Santa Barbara police with a list of men he says abused him and others in Hollywood.

The talk of collaboration between Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar, the two powerhouses of Bollywood, made a lot of noise. Rohit Shetty is known for making massy entertaining films and Simbaa looks like an addition to his big list.

Feldman's sordid story of a long-running pedophilia ring targeting child actors is back in the headlines in the wake of the sexual harassment scandals now consuming Hollywood and taking down scores of powerful industry leaders. The department also revealed that they have sent the audio tapes down to the LAPD, who announced previously that they were shutting down the case that Corey Feldman had started after appearing on the Doctor Oz show. "They're on record. They have all this information", the "Goonies" actor told Lauer.

"They are going to do an interview with me when I get back to Los Angeles", Feldman said at the time.

"Ask anybody in our group of kids at that time: They were passing us back and forth to each other", Feldman told the Hollywood Reporter.

Weiss was arrested in 2011 after one of his clients told police he had been sexually abused by the man starting when he was just 11-years-old, claiming the incidents happened 30 to 40 times over a roughly three years period.

He also took his story to the LAPD, which confirmed it was investigating Feldman's claims and then nearly immediately closed down its investigation.
