Call of Duty WW2's Winter Siege Starts This Friday

Winter Siege is coming this Friday, Dec. 8 for all platforms, and it'll come with a new winter-themed version of the Carentan multiplayer map.

The "new" mode that will be introduced to the game is really an old favorite.

Call of Duty: WWII is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Check out the full reveal from Activision and Sledgehammer Games below. Winter Siege will deliver a ton of new activities and content to the game, including a new multiplayer map, the return of the Gun Game party mode, and new Supply Drops.

During the newly-announced Winter Siege event, new weapons will become available to Call of Duty: WWII players.

It's all about keeping things festive, with Carentan doused in snow and themed for winter.

In the second week of the event, players will see Gun Game return as well as double XP playlists, so fans can spend time competing with each other to earn a good chunk of experience for their time. That's four weeks of snow-flecked festivities in total, and participants can get a free Winter Siege Supply Drop every week of the event.

Are you excited for the first Call of Duty: WWII community event and new weapons? It will be winterized, with the beach encampment taking on a snowy appearance for the span of the event. Captain Butcher visits Headquarters bearing Winter Siege Division uniforms, cosmetic items and weapon variants.

The first free Supply Drop is available from Friday December 8th until Monday December 11th and, from then on, a new gift will arrive each Monday until Winter Siege ends.

In addition to the weapons, there will be new winter supply drops, replacing rare supply drops for the duration of the event.
