Remastered Wii games on the Shield TV retail for around $10 per title, and other games including Metroid Prime and Super Mario Galaxy will eventually make their way to the platform, too.

When it comes to protecting their intellectual property, Nintendo can be rather particular about that, such as creating programs that YouTubers need to be part of in order to post videos on Nintendo games.

There are still no news regarding the Nintendo Switch Virtual Console, but it seems like Nintendo hasn't been completely idle lately, as Wii and GameCube games will soon be made available on modern devices. Seeing as both the Shield TV and Nintendo Switch run on Nvidia's Tegra X1 mobile chip, anything that works on Shield natively will work on the Switch.

While the Nintendo Switch might be Nintendo's focus in markets like the US, Europe, and Japan, it appears that it hasn't forgotten about other countries like China.

Nvidia is making similarly major efforts to adapt its product to China.
