Odd-Even Rule Will Be Implemented Without Exemptions, Delhi Tells Green Court

Odd-Even Rule Will Be Implemented Without Exemptions, Delhi Tells Green Court

The change in stance regarding the odd-even policy came to notice after the state submitted its action plan to combat pollution to the National Green Tribunal on Wednesday.

Aam Aadmi Party had strongly objected to NGT's decision on removing exemptions for women, two-wheelers, vehicles carrying children in school uniforms and VVIPs.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government then cancelled the plan with a minister saying: "We can not compromise on women's security".

Within twenty-four hours, Delhi government changed its stance on granting exemptions for the road-rationing scheme.

Everton to pitch youngsters into Limassol clash
He has gone with an experimental side for the game and there are other Ireland-eligible players on the substitutes bench. This team is doing well in the domestic competition and at home, I think they will fancy a win over Everton .

Although the dates of the implementation of the odd-even scheme have not been specified as of now, sources in the Delhi government told Catch that the scheme is likely to take place before the end of year.

Observing that the air quality in Delhi and NCR was never "normal", the Tribunal had earlier also directed the Delhi government and neighbouring states to spell out their action plans and how they would implement the GRAP, given the severity of the air quality. It also argued that public transportation was not equipped to accommodate so many two-wheeler drivers. "The government only talks about challans (prosecution slips). but nothing is reflected on the ground", the tribunal admonished. Therefore, NGT again pulled Delhi government and asked to submit action plan in two days. Play had to be stopped a few times as players complained of breathing problems on three occasions on Sunday.

Also, the test match between India and Sri Lanka halted as the players suffered from vomit sensation while playing on the field.
