Rian Johnson expanding 'Star Wars' for new trilogy

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi", on the surface, may be referring to Luke Skywalker.

It's become tradition that whenever a new Star Wars movie is on the horizon, fans pore over every rumour, spy photo and piece of marketing material in the build up to its release, proposing countless theories in an effort to answer some of those burning questions about the galaxy far, far away.

Returning to the franchise are John Boyega as Finn, the late Carrie Fisher as Leia, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Andy Serkis as the menacing Snoke and Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, alongside some of the more quirky characters in the franchise, C-3PO, R2-D2, BB8 and Chewbacca.
