Roger Goodell Signs New Contract Extension

Despite declining television ratings and concerns over player safety, the NFL extended league commissioner Roger Goodell's contract extension Wednesday, according to a report by Pro Football Talk.

Goodell previously made around $40 million a year, depending on how many incentives the leagues achieves in any given season.

All 32 owners unanimously granted the Compensation Committee permission in May to negotiate an extension with Goodell.

The tedious drama over Roger Goodell's contract is over.

Whistleblower: At inauguration, Flynn texted on nuclear plan
On Inauguration Day, Flynn apparently texted Copson that the power plant venture was "good to go", according to the whistleblower. The unnamed whistleblower said that on Inauguration Day he met with Alex Copson , who had worked with Flynn on the plan.

The compensation committee faced criticism along the way from Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who at one point threatened to sue his fellow owners in order to prevent the completion of the deal.

A "binding contract extension has been signed by the Commissioner and by Arthur Blank, on behalf of the League entities", reads the memo sent to the league's owners, per the report.

Coincidentally, Jones started griping when Goodell suspended Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliott six games for domestic violence. It was particularly gratifying to hear so many owners commit to being more engaged in League affairs and to express the desire to work more closely with the Commissioner and League staff on matters critical to the League.
