The Rock to receive star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Not only has The Rock starred in several successful feature films, but now he is reportedly going to receive his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Congratulations to Dwayne Johnson.

Johnson said on Twitter he was honored to receive the star and had "so many people to thank". He is set to join the ranks of some of Hollywood's most iconic stars, and he certainly knows what a huge honor it is.

The ceremony, which is slated to take place next week on December 13, will be a lead-in of sorts to his newest film, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which is out December 20.

Johnson, 45, will soon be seen in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Rampage. According to Forbes, the actor netted $65 million while his movies have grossed almost $3 billion at the box office. His other credits include Central Intelligence, the Fast and the Furious film franchise and Moana. Joe: "Retaliation", the dramatic independent film "Empire State", "Pain & Gain", alongside Mark Wahlberg, "Fast 5" and "Fast and Furious 6", which grossed a combined for $1.4-billion globally.

Before The Rock broke into Hollywood, he rose to fame as a WWE superstar during the Attitude Era as the primary rival to Stone Cold Steve Austin.
