What the Hell Just Happened in Death Stranding's Game Awards Trailer

A new Death Stranding trailer dropped at The Game Awards 2017.

As usual, and as you probably expected, the trailer leaves us with more questions than we had before and answers basically none. After what appears to be a wreck of some sort, crushing one character underneath it, the trailer shows an invisible monster before a carcass completely evaporates, ostensibly because of the beast.

The trailer, the longest in The Game Awards' history Geoff Keighley said, gives a first look at the game's acting, world and technology. He then sees the floating figures we've seen before, this time above a huge crater, hammering home the explosion motif. With Hideo Kojima, Norman Reedus, and Guillermo Del Toro all acting as presenters tonight, it was obvious we'd see something new about Kojima Production's latest game. Death Stranding is published by Sony, so expect it out on a PlayStation console of some description at some point in the future.
