20-year-old Florida man wins $450M Mega Millions jackpot

20-year-old Florida man wins $450M Mega Millions jackpot

The victor of last week's huge mega millions jackpot has come forward.

Shane Missler, 20, who resided in Port Richey, was the single victor in the January 5.

Missler is a Florida resident and is taking the lump sum of almost $282 million.

America's newest multi-millionaire is just 20 years old and credits "the power of positive thinking".

When asked what his plans were for his newfound wealth, he told the Florida Lottery that he planned on buying a house in Tampa and "pursuing a variety of passions".

The ticket was claimed at lottery offices in Tallahassee.

The victor told Lottery organisers he believed in the power of a positive mindset and that he was not surprised he had won. "I look forward to the future".

Mark Wahlberg reportedly demanded $1.5m before approving Christopher Plummer's casting
The rumored pay gap sparked backlash from several Hollywood stars like Jessica Chastain and Williams' close friend, Busy Phillips. Plummer, who was brought in to replace Spacey, and the crew of the film were all fully compensated for their work on the reshoot.

The victor of the $560 million Powerball ticket in New Hampshire has not yet come forward.

He has since retired from his job at a local background screening company, the Tampa Bay Times reported. The winning combination, 28, 30, 39, 59, 70 and the Mega Ball, 10, came on the fourth set of numbers.

"The Florida Lottery is proud to congratulate our second MEGA MILLIONS jackpot victor", said Secretary Jim Poppell.

Instead of having his winnings paid out in installments over time, Missler has opted to take the one-time lump sum of $281.2 million.

The winning jackpot ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven on Ridge Road in Port Richey. Last fall, administrators increased ticket prices and the starting jackpot, hoping to boost attention for the game around bigger winnings.

The Florida Lottery is responsible for contributing more than $32 billion to education and sending more than 775,000 students to college through the Bright Futures Scholarship Program.
