Brazilian Ronaldo: Neymar Has Taken A Step Backwards

Brazilian Ronaldo: Neymar Has Taken A Step Backwards

Brazilian football legend, Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima has criticized the world record move of his fellow countryman, Neymar to Paris-Saint-Germain from Barcelona.

His fellow global compatriot grabbed all the transfer headlines in the summer when he swapped giants Barcelona for the Ligue 1 side in a world record £198million deal.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu when he eventually chooses to leave Paris St-Germain.

Neymar has made 22 appearances for his Ligue 1 side so far, scoring 20 goals and assisting 14 further strikes.

However, former Barcelona star Ronaldo believes the move was a step down in terms of his footballing development.

Zac Brown Band Announces Target Field Concert Date
The band will also have a concert later in the summer, August 10, at Target Field in downtown Minneapolis. Prices are $99.50, $86 and $66 for pavilion seating and $34.75 for lawn tickets.

But Ronaldo believes his decision to play for PSG is a bad career move.

"Sportingly, the decision is a step back", Ronaldo told ex-Brazil global Zico in an interview via YouTube. This weekend is going to be a stringent test for Paris Saint-Germain as they take on Nantes, now managed by Claudio Ranieri in the Ligue 1.

Even Gary Lineker rightly said, "You can only go backward from Barcelona".

PSG President Nasser al-Khelaifi doesn't want to sell Neymar, but the opinion of the boss of the French club could change if Real Madrid would agree to let Paris and Cristiano Ronaldo.
