Cindy Crawford recreates her famous Pepsi Super Bowl ad 26 years later

It's perhaps one of the most iconic Super Bowl ads of all time: supermodel Cindy Crawford, wearing nothing more than a tank top and cutoffs, guzzling an ice-cold Pepsi.

More than a quarter of a century after it first aired for the 1992 Super Bowl, Cindy Crawford has revisited her iconic Pepsi ad, alongside her 18 year old son.

"To this day, people come up to me to talk about how much they loved my original Pepsi spot from '92", she said in a press release. "They've spent a long time creating all of these memorable moments and that's exciting for me too because I really do consider myself part of the Pepsi family". The ad will feature "celebrities of Pepsi's past and present" and include a new take on Crawford's 1992 Super Bowl Pepsi ad, PepsiCo said.

Crawford is aware that her Pepsi spot has become a pop culture classic.

The 51 year old model recently filmed a recreation of the famous commercial, which will debut at Super Bowl 52 on February 4th. In an effort to distance itself from 2017, it looks like Pepsi has traveled very far back in time, indeed.

5.1 magnitude earthquake rocks southern Iran
On Nov. 12, on the Iran-Iraq border there were two stronger quakes with magnitude 7.2 and 7.3 at the Richter. ISNA said the five injured were in Kermanshah province, and state television reported no major damage.

Pepsi today unveiled this year's global creative campaign, titled "Pepsi Generations" and a return of Crawford during the game.

For the first six months of 2017, PepsiCo spent $110.3 million on Pepsi ads in the USA, 8.5% less than the same period a year earlier, according to estimates from Kantar Media. The ad is part of the "Pepsi Generations" campaign, which will also mark the return of the brand's vintage logo with limited-edition retro packaging on products launching January 29.

Pepsi Stuff, the USA loyalty program first released in 1996, is making a comeback.

The "Pepsi Generations" campaign also will include nostalgic pop-up exhibitions throughout the USA meant to celebrate the brand's (less controversial) "pop-culture milestones in Pepsi history". Pepsi Generations Live pop-up exhibits will guide fans through the evolution of how Pepsi's history has connected with people over generations.

"It was one of those moments in my career that when I walked down the street, people were like, 'Pepsi!' Or I'd be at a bar, and people would send me over a Pepsi", she said. The series will kick-off during Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis at Nicolette Island Pavilion (40 Power St, Minneapolis, MN 55401) featuring a private performance from breakout Country music duo LOCASH.
