Google quietly acquired a United Kingdom tech startup without anyone noticing - until now that is.

Alphabet, the umbrella corporation of Google, Inc. etc., has quietly acquired a UK-based startup called Redux, reports Bloomberg.

It is unclear when Alphabet - via an Ireland-based subsidiary of Google - acquired Redux, but the transfer of shares of Redux holding company NVF Tech Ltd.to the US tech giant was confirmed on December 13, according to United Kingdom regulatory filings.

Crunchbase, on the other hand, lists the transaction as having taking place last Summer.

Redux's main investor was Arie Capital, a United Kingdom -based venture and private equity company, which invested $5 million. Apple recently adopted an advanced Taptic Engine in its iPhones and other devices that offers enhanced feedback, and Google may be planning to use Redux tech in a similar fashion.

New Mode, Costumes Coming to Super Mario Odyssey
In " Hide It ", players will hide balloons within a 30 second time limit throughout the different worlds of Odyssey . Balloon World starts by finding Luigi in any given world, from there they can choose hide it or find it mode.

Redux's said in 2017 that its patented bending wave techniques could allow it to turn a smartphone screen into a high-quality speaker. For Panel Audio, they are using special actuators that "deliver naturalistic wide-frequency-range audio from a panel or display (without micro-speakers and apertures) - providing a versatile and robust overall solution".

Now, Alphabet company Google has reportedly acquired a company which could help with that headache.

"Redux has developed breakthrough technology which transforms the user experience by bringing surfaces to life with Sound and Touch", it said in an "about us" section of the company.

Redux is led by its CEO Nedko Ivanov, formerly CEO of BullGuard, John Kavanagh who hails from IBM and CapGemini, David Gammie, who has formerly at Plastic Logic, and Nimrata Boora who came from Deloitte and then HiWave Technology. This needs only a few actuators, is energy-efficient and scalable.
