James Cameron Commends Eliza Dushku for Coming Forward About Joel Kramer Molestation

Cameron was in front of a room full of press at Winter 2018 TCA to promote his docuseries AMC Visionaries: James Cameron's Story of Sci-Fi. In a lengthy statement on her Facebook page, the Buffy alum detailed being sexually molested by Hollywood stunt coordinator Joel Kramer on the set of 1994 film. When reached by phone for comment, Kramer denied her account.

"It's just heartbreaking that it happened to her", Cameron told reporters.

Kramer has worked behind-the-scenes on blockbuster such as Mr and Mrs Smith, Blade Runner andFast and The Furious 7 added that he thought the allegations were "just insane", insisting he "treated her like a daughter".

"Eliza is very fearless for speaking up, and I think (so are) all the women are that are speaking up and calling for a reckoning".

The actress, now 37, says she told a "tough adult friend" on set about the experience, claiming that they confronted Kramer - but alleges that "by no small coincidence", later that same day, she broke ribs in a stunt that went wrong. The director went on to note that he had not worked with Kramer since "True Lies" and acknowledged the need for an open and supportive system to report such misconduct. "I know the other party, not well, he hasn't worked for me since then", he said, "but the fact that this was happening under our noses, and we didn't know about it". I think that going forward it's important for all industries-certainly Hollywood-to create a safe avenue for people to speak up. Anyone that might be a predator or an abuser knows that mechanism is there and that it's encouraged and that there's no shame around it and there will be consequences. "When he was 'finished", he suggested, 'I think we should be careful...,' [about telling anyone] he meant".

Keeping up with its growing integration list, Amazon's smart assistant Alexa is now exploring new territories. This would make it possible for wearers to keep track of stock prices and sports scores using the spectacles.

Dushku played the daughter to Arnold Schwarzenneger and Jamie Lee Curtis in the action film before starring in such series as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Dollhouse" and films such as "Bring it On".

She claims that he drew the curtains in his room, turned down the air conditioning and disappeared into the bathroom before emerging in just a "flimsy towel", then lay on the bed, rubbing her and saying "you're not going to sleep on me now sweetie, stop pretending you're sleeping".

"Directors are historically pretty oblivious to the interpersonal things happening on their set, (and) I was focused on what I was doing creatively".

"I think she has just ruined my career ... what's left of it", he said, adding that he "never ever did anything like that to her". I treated her like a daughter. "There'd really be no mercy now".

"On a daily basis he rigged wires and harnesses on my 12-year-old body". Kramer has continued to work in the industry, and was a stunt coordinator on recent films like Blake Runner 2049 and The Conjuring 2. "Whereas he was supposed to be my protector, he was my abuser". Lies, lies, lies. This is just insane.
