Liam Neeson Calls Sexual Harassment Allegations Against Hollywood Men

The phrase "witch hunt" has been frequently tossed around, and the latest to take this stance is Liam Neeson.

Liam Neeson is under flame for shielding a few prominent men blamed for unseemly conduct and sexual offense and proposing that there's "somewhat of a witch-chase happening". "There's some people, famous people, being suddenly accused of touching some girl's knee, or something, and suddenly they're getting dropped from their programs".

The "Taken" star referred to former Minnesota Public Radio host Garrison Keillor's firing last November after the network received "allegations of his inappropriate behavior with an individual who worked with him".

The allegations against Hoffman are only the latest in a wave of claims about sexual misconduct by Hollywood heavyweights, including the producer Harvey Weinstein and the actor Kevin Spacey.

At the same time, Neeson outlined that the #MeToo movement was "healthy" and such allegations were widely spread "across every industry", but "the focus was on Hollywood".

Keillor, in a statement to The Associated Press at the time, said he was sacked over "a story I think is more interesting and more complicated than the version MPR heard".

Armisen played the author as flippant about the truth of the tales in his sensational new book about the Trump White House. This all went down with plenty of sexual undertones from Joe and Mika.

However Neeson, who was born in Northern Ireland but also has U.S. citizenship, said he welcomed the general trend towards exposing harassment. His hand touched bare skin, he said, and he apologized. I'm on the fence with that. You do silly things. Some actors can become "superstitious" about certain actions, he explained, and may believe that if they don't to perform those actions every night, it will "jinx" the show.

"I think what Dustin did was... it's childhood stuff".

"There is a movement happening".

Metro.co.uk has approached Neeson's reps for comment.

"There's a lot of discussion about it, and a lot of healthy and necessary discussion about it because the disparity sometimes is f-ing disgraceful", Neeson told the Associated Press when discussing the gender wage gap in Hollywood.

"I'm a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and a very proud one. And I get sent facts and figures and stuff - and if you've read the stuff I've read about how female labourers are being treated in farms, ranches and all the rest of it, it's chilling".
