New Switch ports and video games announced in Nintendo Direct

The video shown lays out how the game is mapped to a single device, where both battle systems play out at once. It's coming Spring 2018.

Pokken Tournament DX will get updated with some new DLC characters and you can purchase the Deluxe Battle Pack paid DLC as it is now available and will be released in two waves. From March 23rd Blastoise will be added as a playable Pokémon, while Mew and Celebi will be support Pokémon.

The game launches later this year, though Nintendo did not detail a more specific release window. Another flagship character will land on Switch later this year, with Kirby Star Allies due to launch on March 16th.

The new Artist ability lets Kirby unleash his creativity, while the new Spider ability lets him ensnare enemies in webs. The demo can be downloaded from the eShop and played docked or portably. Lastly, new Link and Zelda outfits from Breath of the Wild are being added to the game. This game also has a two-player coop with separate Joy-Cons.

Say what you will about Wii U ports on the Switch, but it's definitely bringing critically acclaimed titles to a much larger audience. Mario Tennis Aces was announced for a spring 2018 release - it will have story mode, the first since Mario Tennis: Power Tour on the Game Boy Advance.

The Mario Tennis games have always been a fixture on Nintendo consoles, with the Game Boy Color, N64 and GBA titles arguably the best ones in the franchise. The game also stars a large cast of other Mushroom Kingdom favorites, like Luigi and Wario, and this new entry even has a story mode of sorts.

And yes, the series is back for Nintendo Switch, promising a story mode with missions, boss battles and more. Then, roles reverse. Find the balloons hidden by your opponent before time runs out. If you choose to find one, you are given 30 seconds to search for a balloon another player has hidden. The DLC pack will be available this spring. There's Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition - excellent news for anyone who missed either of these games on the Wii U.
