Rex Burkhead, Mike Gillislee likely out for Patriots

New England Patriots running backs Rex Burkhead and Mike Gillislee are expected to miss their team's AFC Divisional Round playoff matchup against the Tennessee Titans on Saturday night due to knee injuries, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

White, 25, reeled in 56 receptions for 429 yards and three touchdowns to go along with his 171 rushing yards this season. Burkhead was trending towards playing after getting in limited practices this week but will likely miss the Divisional round against the Titans. Gillislee, who is second on the Patriots with 383 rushing yards, has been dealing with a knee injury he suffered December 24 against the Bills. Prior to that, he was averaging 55 yards per game and.6 touchdowns per game.

The absence of Burkhead and Gillislee leaves the Patriots with just White, Dion Lewis and Brandon Bolden in the backfield. Branch played in 12 games this season, including six starts, after being a regular starter the previous two seasons.

Trishton Jackson became the second wide receiver this week to announce his plans to transfer from Michigan State . He committed two turnovers and two fouls in the first 2 1/2 minutes of the half and was taken out of the game.

Patriots receiver Chris Hogan will also be active.

The New England Patriots are not quite as healthy as they appeared to be this week.
