Bulls send Jameer Nelson to Pistons

This time picking up a veteran point guard to help fill the absence of Reggie Jackson.

Stan Van Gundy has had trust issues with the third-string point guard, and Jameer Nelson steps into the role as a much-needed veteran in that position.

Nelson, who played for the Magic during Van Gundy's tenure, was acquired on February 1 by the Bulls along with Tony Allen and Omer Asik for Nikola Mirotic and a draft pick. He later landed with the New Orleans Pelicans and became a trade chip in return for Nikola Mirotic.

Jameer Nelson is on the move again, as the Chicago Bulls reportedly traded him to the Detroit Pistons on Thursday for center Willie Reed ahead of the National Basketball Association trade deadline, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.

One ex-wife, Colbie Holderness , alleges Porter had choked, punched and emotionally abused her during their five-year marriage. During a trip to Italy, she said he punched her in the face. "I think he was shocked that he had lost control to that extent".

Jameer Nelson slides in as the primary backup to Ish Smith. Reed is now serving a six-game suspension for a domestic violence issue, but he could wind up taking on a decent role if the Bulls trade Robin Lopez.

Willie Reed was sent to Detroit in the Griffin trade.

Reed has only made three appearances for the Pistons and is now appealing a suspension that would see him out six games as a result of a domestic violence incident. He is averaging 4.6 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.

Unfortunately, everything is not flawless in Motown as the National Basketball Association announced on Tuesday that Pistons' center Willie Reed has been suspended for six games without pay for a domestic violence incident that involved his wife.
