Conte sacking would cost Chelsea a whopping £26.7 million

Conte sacking would cost Chelsea a whopping £26.7 million

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte says that seeing others linked with his job is not something that makes him jealous, with Luis Enrique reportedly being lined up to take over.

Despite winning the Premier League title and reaching the FA Cup final last season, during his first year in English football, the fiery Italian has been at odds with his club's board about transfer policy over the last two windows.

Antonio Rudiger is pushing for a recall but Cesar Azpilicueta is certain to keep his place while I think Gary Cahill will also start so the German worldwide may have to make-do with a place on the bench alongside Luiz.

"I have to speak more with the managers who are very, very good at persuading their clubs to spend money to buy top players".

"I'm this type of coach". I'm this type of coach.

"Yes, I have spoken with him". The mentality also. About the desire, the will to fight, and the tactical aspects. But I think I'm a bit of a disaster to convince the club to buy players.

While she didn't land a clean run to finish, she was good enough for gold for the second straight Olympics. Laurie Blouin of Canada won silver and Finland's Enni Rukajarvi took bronze.

Maybe the quality of the opposition has changed and maybe the players he's had available haven't been to the consistency he had when he won it, but you can not fault his record and the job he's done since he came to the Premier League.

Conte knows Enrique well from their time in Serie A and is full of praise for the now out-of-work manager.

Since taking over at Stamford Bridge, the 48-year-old has imposed various bans - like ketchup in the players' canteen - to maintain a strict regime.

"You still have a coach not because of what he does in a season, but because you trust him", Conte said to blame the president.

"I have great admiration for Luis Enrique and, sometimes, he is a fantastic coach".

West Brom sit bottom of the table following defeat by Southampton a week ago but Pardew said he has not held any special meetings with his players to arrest the slump.
