Fortnite Hits 3.4 Million Concurrent Users On Same Weekend Of Server Outages

"PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds,"also known as "PUBG", has managed to get to 3.2 million concurrent players".

While this concurrent player success for Fortnite is definitely worthy of celebration, it's important to note that this particular feat of surpassing a previous record set by PUBG is likely partially due to the fact that the Battle Royale portion of Epic Games title is free-to-play, while the latter title is not. Over the weekend, on Super Bowl Sunday, the game hit a new record of 3.4 million concurrent players, Epic announced in a blog post this week.

That 3.4 million is higher than even PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' peak of just over 3.1 million It's important to note that Fortnite is a free game and available on three different platforms, including the higher-selling PlayStation 4, compared to PUBG which is $30 and only now playable on PC and Xbox One. In addition, #Epic Games, the game developer, has done a fantastic job updating the game [VIDEO]and adding new content to it on a weekly basis.
