U.S. ready to assist Russian Federation in investigating An-148 crash

In a recent development in Russian Plane Crash incident, the pilots have been blamed for the accident that killed all 71 people on board on February 11.

The plane's operator, Saratov Airlines, said in a statement on Monday it was temporarily grounding its fleet of AN-148 planes until investigators had established what happened.

Emergency crews head to the scene of Sunday's plane crash minutes after departing Domodedovo Airport en route to Orsk, in southeast of Moscow.

Fragments of the Antonov AN-148 regional jet were found near the village of Stepanovskoye, a spokesman with Russia's Emergencies Ministry told TASS.

With wreckage of the plane spread over more than 30ha, it would take a week to inspect the area, the Emergency Services Ministry said.

Investigators said the plane's crew did not report any technical problems before the crash.

Plane crashes are a common occurrence in Russian Federation, with airliners using aged planes in challenging conditions. The plane was built in 2010 for a different airline that operated it for several years before putting it in storage.

Shale Production Will Not Disrupt Oil Market Stability - OPEC
OPEC producers agreed to cut supply in November 2016 in order to reduce the glut that had accumulated over the previous two years. OPEC expects global demand for crude to rise by 1.59 million bpd, a slight upward revision from previous months.

"A team of rescuers has been sent to the presumable crash site in Moscow region's Ramensky district", TASS' source had reported. Saratov Airlines commissioned it a year ago.

The airline said the plane's captain had more than 5,000 hours of flying time, 2,800 of them in an An-148.

President Vladimir Putin offered his condolences to those who had lost relatives and ordered a special investigative commission to be set up.

Recovery teams were facing hard weather conditions, including snow and strong wind, at the site located some 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Moscow's Domodedovo airport. Last November, a light aircraft crashed in the East of the country, killing 6.

Pilot error was blamed for that crash.

In December 2016, a military plane carrying Russia's Red Army Choir went down near the black sea resort of Sochi.
