The governor thanked the Presidential Committee on Flood and Rehabilitation for making the camp available for the state government to house victims of herdsmen attacks, stating that to complement efforts of the federal government, the state sunk three boreholes in the camp in order to address the water need.

I have friends here in the state, there is no way I can deliberately overlook what is happening here and other parts of the country.

"As a born again Christian and someone who believes in the fear of God, I can not and we have never encouraged the establishment of any militia group", he said.

He denied insinuations that he overlooked the killings that happened in Benue, saying he is genuinely anxious over them.
