Latest OnePlus 5/5T Open Beta brings Android 8.1

Latest OnePlus 5/5T Open Beta brings Android 8.1

Now, we have also known that the company has been launching flagship smartphones every successive year and the latest flagship smartphones from OnePlus were named as the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T.

The number of Android flagships running Oreo at all is already slim, but those using Android 8.1 are even fewer.

On top of the bump to 8.1, both updates include February's Android security patches, gaming mode tweaks, an auto pick up gesture, ambient display clock customizations, and improvements to the OnePlus Switch app which now supports app data migration. However, it is noteworthy that the update, now is available only for the OnePlus 5T beta users only. Digging deeper into the OxygenOS Open Beta 4 firmware files, an image has been found which is named as "screendecor_up_img_enchilada_1" as seen above. When it comes to the gaming mode, OnePlus also added some changes here, with new optimizations in gaming mode, for a more immersive gaming experience. You will be receiving the notification to install the OTA update if you have already flashed a previous Open Beta build.

Celtics G hints at extended rest for sore knee
I think he got kneed, but I don't think that that's anything more than a knee-to-knee or knee-to-thigh - right above his knee". It's the same knee that required surgery during the 2015 offseason and has caused him to miss a handful of games this season.

Apart from the change in the software version and Android patch level, the differences in Open Beta 4 (for the OnePlus 5T) and Open Beta 6 (for the OnePlus 5) are functional and related to the Oxygen OS overlay. The latest update also ships with global roaming solution and the ability to backup app data from smartphones other than OnePlus. To recall, the OnePlus 5 and 5T have AMOLED displays allowing for less power consumption. The downloads are available at http://downloads.oneplus.net/.

OnePlus also warns that once a user switches to the Open beta, they will not receive the regular Official Stable OTAs.

It also comes with a new call pick-up gesture, enabling users to answer the call by raising the phone. OnePlus hasn't said how many betas there will be before the stable version rolls out, but where this is the sixth beta, it should be rolling out pretty soon.
