Sealing drive: Kejriwal calls all-party meet on March 13

Sealing drive: Kejriwal calls all-party meet on March 13

He has called different party leaders for a meeting on Tuesday at 1200 hrs at his residence.

In letters written on Friday, Kejriwal sought appointments from the two leaders to discuss the issue. Kejriwal, in his letter said Maken, being a former union urban development minister, would be able to offer "good and practical" solution to the sealing issue.

He has written to Delhi BJP Chief Manoj Tiwari and Congress Delhi Chief Ajay Maken to attend the meeting to discuss and find a solution to end the sealing so that shops could be reopened at the earliest.

He also suggested that not more than three people from each party should be at the meeting so that it can be held smoothly. But, they are suffering due to sealing.

He scored 19 points on the night and all five of his field goals were threes. "Russell was an average ball handler", Self began. Clemson has been a bit more of a defensive-oriented team as well, but is coming off a 90-82 shootout with Boston College .

Backing the shopkeepers who have been impacted by the sealing drive, he said these people are not corrupt. In addition, he asked that the shops that have been sealed should be immediately opened. These are the same people who contribute to the development of the country. Kejriwal wrote to Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday, requesting him to raise his voice against the issue in Parliament.

In his letter, the Delhi Congress president had claimed that according to the amended master plan and the national capital territory of Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Second Act, 2011, no sealing can be carried out in Delhi.

CAIT said the trading community of Delhi is not at all impressed by Kejriwal's announcement since he is trying to score political brownie points on an issue which is directly connected with the livelihood of traders and their employees. "However, the government has not done anything and the shopkeepers are paying the price for it", the Chief Minister wrote in a strongly-worded letter to the PM. Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has called for a Delhi Trade Bandh on March 13 against the ongoing sealing drive initiated by the local bodies on the directions of a monitoring committee appointed by the Supreme Court. "There is only one solution now".

Under the drive, hundreds of commercial establishments have been sealed so far due to non-payment of conversion charges and violations of the Delhi Master Plan. "A bill has to be brought in Parliament to remove anomalies in the law and save traders from unemployment", he said.
